What is healthy weight loss for me?
I'm 17, 5'9, and about 210 pounds. I am atleast 40 pounds overweight and I want to lose it fast. I see all over the internet that losing 1-2 pounds per week is healthy and will be easier to keep off. I'm assuming that is for adults considering that I can lose one pound after, like, an hour of running. What is a healthy weight loss rate for someone my age? Like, say If I were to aim to lose a pound a day would it be healthy and easy to keep off?
Also, I figure that when I do lose weight it will be somewhat easy to stay thin. I use to eat fast food almost everyday growing up and I was a horribly picky eater. I rarely ever eat stuff like Burger King and McDonalds anymore so I hopefully will be able to keep weight off much easier.

Good call on stopping/planning to stop eating fast food. That will put so many pounds on you won’t believe it. I’ve read so much crap and heard so many complicated methods on how to either lose weight or put on size, and I can only tell you one thing that absolutely works. Keep in mind, I’m not a trainer, I’m not an expert, but this is what I found to work 100%.
Run.
Run and run a lot! I lost 20 pounds in just under 3 months and I wasn’t overweight to begin with. Is it healthy? Probably not the healthiest! However I shed 20 pounds of useless fat in less than 3 months. If you have a lot of fat, you’ll probably burn more of it and faster. I run 2-5 miles five times a week. Start out running a mile a day, 4 days a week for the first couple of weeks, then build up from that. It is a huge pain in the ass but I feel great afterwards, and my stamina is more improved. I eat properly, i.e. good grains, proteins, etc. so that helps as well. And try to limit your sugars to natural sources only. ie. apples, bananas, oranges, etc. No cookies, cakes, etc.
