What is a list of healthy meats, carbs, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products, for a weight loss diet?

Im going to the grocery store this weekend and Im done with the chips, cookies, and fatty foods that Ive been eating my whole life.

When I go to the store, what should I buy?

(Ive been on a cardio and weightlifting program, but I need to start eating healthier)

  2. Meats/Other Protein–

    Chicken
    Tuna
    Turkey
    Almonds
    Natural Peanut butter

    Carbohydrates–

    Oatmeal
    Sweet Potatoes
    Brown Rice
    100% Whole Grain bread (all breads have some whole grans in them make sure to get 100%)

    Vegetables–

    All green vegetables

    Fruits–

    All fruits except for tropical fruit (no bananas, pineaple, or mango they are calorie dense u can eat them but i would limit most fruit intake to maybe an apple a day)

    Dairy Products–

    Fat free dairy only!

    Skim milk, fat free cheese

    other tips–

    For sandwiches use mustard as a condoment because there are barely any calories and it will give it flavor

    and drink LOTS of water and water should be your only source of beverage except for maybe skim milk or low sodium V8… fruit juices are bad for you
