Weight Watchers diet weight loss?

How much weight is realistically to expect to lose in a month following a Weight Watchers diet plan?
Starting with 203lb.

  1. I don’t know for your weight, but I weighed 145.8 and I lost about 2 pounds a week. You should lose more than that a week though, while your body drops the water weight. So in about a month, maybe 10 pounds, maybe more, maybe less. There’s no way to tell unless you try!

  2. I’m going to say 11-12 lbs. You’ll probably drop around 5-6 lbs the first week, and then 2 lbs the next few weeks. Maybe not that much if you start an exercise regime as muscle weighs more than fat. The slower and healthier you lose it (ideal is 1-2 lbs/wk), the more likely it will stay off. Good luck! (My sister lost over 100 lbs on WW)

  3. You could go on a fad diet and easily lose plenty of weight in that amount of time; but it would mainly be water that you would put almost straight back on once you started eating properly again.
In order to lose proper weight more realistically and long term, you need to be losing mainly fat.
There are roughly 3500 kcal to 1 pound of fat. If say your estimate BMR was 1450, and you were restricting yourself to say 1200 kcal per day, then at this rate you would be loosing 250 kcal per day = half a pound of fat per week. Like with most proper diets such as weight watchers where you are losing weight by restricting your calorie intake, it is likely you will lose an estimate of 1-2lbs per week and probably something around 8-12lbs in the month (some due to muscle and water loss)
