Urgent Help: Weight Loss/Diet Question!!!!!!!?

I'm not really looking to ''lose weight'' - just get into shape/take off a tiny bit of fat I've gained. I used to be really active because I lived in a small town and rode my bike everywhere I needed to get (school, the library, friends' houses). Since my family moved into a more rural area 3 years ago and couldn't take my bike, all I've been doing for the past 2 years is sitting around, shoving junk food in my mouth.

I hardly ever eat junk food or soda at all anymore - I drink a lot of water. My diet now consists of lunch meat turkey & ham sandwiches, chocolate milk, ramen noodles and water. I'm not saying that's all I eat: it's just my meal on a regular basis.

What i want to know is if I keep up this diet, and do a few walking laps around my neighborhood everyday (we moved within the past year again) if I'll be able to get my skinny calves/flat stomach back?

Is the chocolate milk going to put a big dent in my effort/progress?
What other steps could I take?

(P.S. my family is set in their ways to eat junk food, so don't tell me to try to convince them to buy organic foods etc. because i'm pretty much on my own here, guys.)
Okay - cut out ramen noodles.
More fruits and vegetables? What's a recommended diet for that? (apples for breakfast? so and so for lunch, etc.) ?

  1. I doubt it.. You have no fruit/veg in your diet plus ramen noodles have way too much salt… Chocolate milk is okay as a once-in-a-while but you should really be drinking regular…

If you are planning on exercising regularly, you really should supplement that wtih a healthy diet otherwise you’re not gaining much..

  2. use nonfat milk for your chocolate milk

don’t eat ramen noodles anymore, they are horrible for your diet.

i would increase your walking laps by one per day

add fruits and veges to your diet

lunchmeat isn’t that great either unless it’s unprocessed, from a health food market etc.

  3. Try soy chocolate milk. And definitely don’t eat ramen noodles, those are so bad for you.

  4. Eat healthy foods, exercise a reasonable amount.Generally, you should be sure to eat plenty of vegetables, salads, and fruits, salmon is very healthy. There are many different kinds of beans, high in fiber and known to help curb appetite. The fiber helps purge excess fat. Black beans especially have high fiber. Try to limit your intake of salt,
too much salt is bad for the heart. This is my favorite website for researching foods and their nutritional value………………….http://www.whfoods.com/foodstoc.php
Often I cook some rice, pour cooked black beans on it, maybe add some other veggies to it, toss in some roasted almond, mix it up by hand.
Makes 3 or 4 servings . It’s basic of course. Not fancy. But it’s handy to keep the left overs in the refrigerator and eat as I feel like it. You can dream up your own concoctions. Some times I add abit of Chinese orange scauce from a bottle just to gie it more flavor….You may want to eat some Quaker Oats Cereal or Quaker Multi-Grain Cereal occasionally, adding your own fruit to it. Supposedly MultiGrain is healthier because its a mixture of grains
rye, barley, oats, and wheat. .
