Who here has lost a lot of weight through diet & exercise…how long before you noticed weight loss?

How long after you started exercising did it take before you noticed you were losing weight? Recently I've been walking/jogging on the treadmill for about 50 minutes (3.2-4.2mph, 2% incline). I'm not sure when I should notice a difference. I don't want to get discouraged. I'm female BTW.

cardio and diet=weight loss?

i am on a diet to lose 10 lbs. (i already lost 15). after a while, i stopped losing. however, i didn't exercise at all while on my diet, because i hate doing it. if i do 1 hour of treadmill a day (run every 2 minutes, walk every 2 minutes) and repeat, will the weight come off? how long should i expect to see results? it's mostly the tummy area that needs to be lost.

Running vs Walking for weight loss and diet plan?

My bf and I are constantly battling over what is better for weight loss.

He says running I say walking.

I've read walking is more beneficial to burning fat while running will burn more carbohydrates over fat. I've also heard, unless one is an experienced runner it can be bad for the knees and lower back.

So does anyone have the truth.

I am trying to lose a bit of weight, just so I can feel comfortable again but have a horrible diet. I hate breakfast which I know is a killer for the metabolism so another question I have is would this be a suitable diet along with exercise to lose weight.

Breakfast - Two peices of fruit 6 almonds

Morning Tea - Soy Latte

Lunch - Pita wrap with fresh salad mix

Afternoon Snack - (which I rarely feel like) Yogurt or fruit

Dinner - Meat and veg

Plus I drink lots of water.

My aim is to walk 30mins a day with my son and at night do fifteen minutes of light jogging on the treadmill and some toning exercises.

Is there anything I should add or take away.

Does anyone have a solid weight loss diet and exercise routine?

Ok 1st and foremost I need to lose alot of weight (110 lbs) and I graduate in May so im trying to lose at least 90 before I graduate. I heard its possible to lose 30lbs in a month so im pretty much rushing to become skinny. Im 16 and i weigh 230 and Im 5'6 rather short but there's one problem. I don't live in the most friendliest neighborhood. I have a treadmill and a exercise bike in my home. I get off of school around 5 so its already getting dark. With this in mind is there anyway for me to achieve my goal I will even run for 2hours if I have to because im dead serious about losing the weight but its not worth getting robbed or jumped.
So Basically what Im saying is is it possible to lose 90 lbs in 7 months according to 30lbs in 1 month method andd whats the best way to do it indoors?

Concerns about my Weight Loss and Diet?

Hey all,
Im concerned about my weight loss and diet.. Please comment.

Well, Heres my diet:

MEAL 1 (7:00am-9:10am, whenever I wake up)= 1 Scoop Whey and 1 Bannana

MEAL 2 (12:25)= (1 SCoOP WHEY PROTEIN after workout) 1 tin of tuna in water

MEAL 3 (3-4PM) 2 grilled lean chicken breasts OR 20 shrimp (not breaded, just regular, 10 shrimp = 0.5g of fat and no carbs)

MEAL 4 (7-7:30PM) = Tin of tuna or fruit

WORKOUT = 30 MIN TREADMILL DAILY

AND on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, I do compound lifts at a gym.

Well, im afraid since im eating a bannana a day, or sometimes an orange, that it will mess up my low carb diet.

Nonetheless, I started my diet at 88kg, and im 85.7kg now, and its only been 1 week exactly.

-- Im worried about the bannana and fruit intake, because according to a calorie site, it says to avoid them on a diet
--- ALSO, im worried about the rapid weight loss

question about weight loss diet and excercise?

ok so i have been living a healthier lifestyle for a little over year now and have lost about 60 lbs from 350 down to around 285, now i went to lose another 40 lbs and get down to around 250, i have lately about a week ago really kicked into healthy mode again after the holidays i cut back on it quite a bit, and didnt gain weight but i also wasnt eating my best or excercising daily, i do a power walk with slight jogging on my treadmill for about 1 mile everyday and it usually takes me around 16 minutes to 18 minutes, today i also did that and did 60 crunches, my question is, for the past 3 days i ate very little, yesterday in total, i had a couple of pretzals, a caesar sallad and a breadstick from sbarro, and a ice cream cone from mcdonalds, i would have to say that that definitely wasnt 2000 calories, but i felt very tired, and didnt lose any weight, so im worried that i am starving myself, today i ate a stouffers french bread pizza, which is around 500 calories, and thats all i have eaten so far, should a 6 foot 280 pound man be eating like this, i feel very lethargic, to even do anything alot because my body feels like im shocking it everyday, and i feel pretty good right now, but yesterday i had headaches, and was lethargic.

Weight Loss Diet and Work Out Tips.?

I finally got a tread mill and im 13 yers old (5'7 and 164 lbs) and i made a work out plan so every day i run on the treadmill for 30 minutes and i lift weights every 3 days on the week, Is this a good workout? I want to go down to at least 130 lbs by semtember.

And also, i need help on what to eat and what not to eat.
Im on a diet so i dont eat chips anymore, but only Chex Mix, and i stopped eating greasy foods or foods with alot of fat and old.
Could you tell me a list of things Teens usually eat but is healthy? and tell me what is not?
I currently eat the following:
Chex Mix
Whole Grain Cereal
Milk
Alot of Water(8 glasses or more everyday)
Fruit Punch(Hawian Punch/Hi-C)
Sometimes Pepsi
Rice and some asian food(lunch and dinner)
Gronola Bars

So are any of those things good? and is there anything else that teens usually like but is healthy? and could u also tell me a list of foods/snacks teens usally eat but are unhealthly? thnx

weight loss plan diet?

I am 17 years old, female. Prom is coming up in mid-May and I put on about 10 pounds over the summer that I want to take off plus a little bit more. I am 5’0 and 119 pounds. What I want to lose most, other than all around is my love handles, stomach (#1), butt (sticks out =/), and my arms are a little too fat for my body.

I am planning on going to the gym everyday for about 1.5-2 hours and eating healthy, however, I need a little help with following it and what would be beneficial and what wouldn’t.

I went to the gym today, for the first time for this diet plan/weight losing plan. I did the treadmill for 5ish minutes fast walking (warm-up/cool down) and about 10 minutes running (not SO fast, but running) and then did the sitting bike for 10 minutes/1.5 miles. It was my first day so I didn’t do much.

I am planning on eating healthy so it helps with my weight loss as well and my face.

I plan to eat Special K cereal with 1% milk in the morning (615 AM)
Lunch at school: apple and water? If I should eat more, maybe a sandwich (wheat bread with a slice of cheese since I’m a vegetarian, would that be healthy?) (1030 AM)
100 calorie pack? Or a granola bar would be healthier? (12-2ish, anytime between there)
Dinner: Indian food, but healthy, like soups and veggies.
Snacks during the day: apples, plums, oranges/tangerines/clementines, watermelon.
6 bottles of water per day.
Not eating after 7 PM.

I am planning to go to the school gym right after school from 230-3 and then come home and go to my gym by my house from 345-5?
What machines should I do? And how long about? (How do I keep myself from getting bored=( lol)
Also like on treadmill/elliptical should I do incline/hill, if it makes a difference?

Also I have a bit of acne on my face. Will exercising and eating like that help clear it up?

When will I see results? And is it possible to lose a bit of love handles/stomach/arm fat in about less than 3 months?

I just started working out 3 days ago
i do 1 hr on a treadmill and eat 3 meals a day
i am 5'9 and weight around 230
and i was wondering if this is a safe way to start?
how many pounds a week can i expect to lose?

weight loss diet and exercise plan?

So tomorrow, I plan on starting my diet and exercise plan. Since I haven't exercised in quite a while, I'm thinking about starting off with a walk, then run on the treadmill. When I start to see some weight loss, then I'll move on to other exercises to tone up. I've also heard that drinking green tea before a workout is helpful at burning fat. Is this a good plan? Any tips?
