How to improve diet/weight loss?

Hey all. I'm a 18yo male who's recently lost some weight just from cutting back on the sodas, ice cream, snacks, etc. I weighed about 220 and am now down to 170 (though still have a stomach bulge and fatty pecs). However, I've now started P90X here and there..I usually do an exercise every other day, not every day as recommended.

I drink atleast 64 fl. oz of water a day. My diet meal consists of two poptarts and a fiber bar for breakfast (520 cals, 14g fat, 100g carbs (47g sugar), 11g fiber, and 8g protein) and then usually a Subway sub for dinner (~1000 cal, always on wheat bread) and maybe popcorn for a late snack.

Where and how can I improve my diet to promote some slimming and weight loss? I plan on going into the gym for muscle building within the next week or so, but really want to make sure I've got my dieting and such set. Thanks for any help

What do you think of this diet given by dietician for quick weight loss for an event?

breakfast apple
snack apple
lunch: any salad, i today had with chicken, sweet corn and some yogurt in it.

dinner apple

if u do it for two weeks you lose 15 pounds! do you believe in it? she told me she will give me another diet after the two weeks just to maintain in.

is it going to work?

is this a healthy weight loss diet?

everyday for the past week or so i have been eating 2 bowls of frosted mini wheats for breakfast, 2 brownie clif bars, and a *hit load of baby carrots.(clif bar and carrots for lunch- same for dinner) is this healthy or should i add a multivitamin?
is it bad to eat a bag of baby carrots a day? sometimes i eat an orange.
breakfast- 2 bowls mini wheats. lunch- 1 clif brownie bar and a few carrots dinner- 1 clif brownie bar and a few carrots i snack on more carrots when i get hungry so i go through a bag of baby carrots a day about.

Hello, is anyone on the Quick Weight Loss Center Diet Plan?

If so, how do you space your meals or schedule your meals. I have breakfast, Mid A.M., Lunch, Mid P.M., Dinner and a snack. I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how to space my meals. Also, I don't get home until 6pm and they say do not eat after 6. But with my schedule that's kind of difficult. So any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

I have started an extreme weight loss diet and am producing abnormal amounts of diarrhea, why is this?

i eat cereal(mini wheats), protein bar and yogurt for breakfast. i eat a clif bar and yogurt for lunch. i eat a protein bat, yogurt and a small bowl of mixed fruit for dinner. in between all meals i occasionally snack on carrots. what is wrong with my diet, and is it normal to be getting extreme diarrhea once a day??? i also run 2 miles a day and do some weights.
does diarrhea contain the body fat i lost? i am averaging a pound a day lost in body fat. i use i body composition meter so i know i am loosing body fat, not just muscle mass. i am in fact gaining muscle mass with my workout.

What Do You Think of My Weight Loss Diet?

What do you guys think of my diet to lose fat? I generally recommend this to people:

Breakfast: Oatmeal, 1 whole egg, 1 orange, and 2-3 tablespoons of all natural peanut butter in the oatmeal (to increase healthy fat intake)

Snack: Oat bran bread and a serving of lean chicken

Lunch: Serving of lean beef/ lean chicken/fish

Snack: Either a small serving of fish, or scoop of Whey protein mixed with all natural peanut butter, water and fruit, especially if after a workout

Dinner: Serving of fish

Before bed: Cup of cottage cheese, or a scoop of casein protein
You sure? I haven't actually been able to count the grams of fat in this diet yet, I'm pretty sure that's not too much fat.
I know the protein is sufficient, I never had time to see the actual quantity of grams of fat and carbohydrates in this diet. The diet should be 30% healthy fats and 30% carbohydrates.
I know it has no vegetables, I don't want to make the carbohydrate intake too high, Vegetables aren't as necessary as most people believe.

They only provide micronutrients (vitamins/minerals). If you are having fruits and a multivitamin then you should be fine.
Kmsca-It really doesn't matter much how you cook the egg, you could make a sunny side up. Also, you should use extra virgin olive oil, that's a healthy oil.

This is basically the diet I gave you, don't know if you noticed, lol. Like I said, make sure you calculate everything, I haven't had the time to calculate myself, so I'm not sure if the diet meets my exact recommendations, my diet was just an approximation with examples.
Thanks Pat, other than that you think the amount of fat is good for a 1,900 to 2,000 calorie diet?

Is this a good weight loss diet?

Breakfast - Coffee with skimmed milk & a low fat yoghurt (I honestly cannot eat much in the mornings, I've been trying for years and I just throw up!)

Snack - grapes

Lunch - salad (lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cucumber) with EITHER skinless chicken breast, king prawns, or tuna and 2 tablespoons of low fat , low calorie dressing.

Dinner - One of the following: Pasta with chicken or beef and a low fat sauce, jacket potato with tuna or low fat cheese, rice with chicken or beef and a low fat sauce, noodles with veg and a low fat sauce

Snack - Low calorie hot chocolate to stop the cravings!!

Is this ok? How many cals is it? Will I lose weight on it?

is this a good diet for quick weight loss?

breakfast:oatmeal 100
snack: apple 100
lunch: yogurt 100
cheese 50
snack: half sandwich: 150
dinner: veggie stirfry: 200
total:700

if i stick to this or something along these lines will i be able to lose like 4 lbs by next sat? its winter formal and im 5'4" and currently about 110 lbs and i want to be 106? if this isnt good can someone tell me what will work?

Does anyone recommend any good fast weight loss diets?

I want to loose weight without using a fad diet and I want to loose weight naturally, but fast at the same time. Please give me a 7 day schedule of what I should eat or a recommendation of good foods. Also do you recommend skipping lunch? I always get bored, skip lunch and end up snacking, but when I'm not bored and skip lunch I don't snack. I am a teeensy-weensy bit overweight according to wii fit..
