How to further expedite my weight loss, what else can I do?
I'm 24 years old, 5'8" and currently 166 lbs. I have lost 10 lbs in the last 6 weeks steadily (about 1-2 lbs a week). I have been creating a calorie deficit by eating less (around under 1000 cal/day) and exercising a LOT more (1 hour combo of power-walking and running at least 4-5 times a week) . I cut out sugars, sodium, eating late at night and have been eating more veggies, whole wheat and protein. I'm also taking Alli as a weight loss supplement. My goal weight is around 120-125 lbs.
Is there anything else I can do to speed this up?
I know I probably sound overzealous but even at a 2 lb loss a week, that's around 5 months from now =(
Perhaps there's another form of cardio I could be doing that is more efficient at burning calories?
Any helpful suggestions would be much appreciated.
Would whey protien shakes help me achieve my weight loss goals?
I'm 28 years old, 4'11" & around 140 lbs. I'd like to lose 20 lbs. I work out 4-5 times a week (a mixture of both cardio & medium intensity strength training) & I try to watch what goes into my body.
I've dabbled in whey protein before, but always lost interest pretty quickly so I never really stuck with it. Would consistantly using whey protein (one or two shakes a day) help with my weight loss goals? Also, are most brands pretty much the same?
What is a good nutritional weight loss supplement?
I've started going to the gym five days a week and using the elliptical machine for 30 minutes to an hour.
I frequently forget to eat breakfast before going and I am usually not hungry for 4-5 hours after working out. I know that is bad but I simply forget to eat.
I am hoping to lose 5-10 pounds. I do not build muscle easily (and that is not really what I am hoping to do anyway.) While I eat fairly healthy (I stay away from sugary drinks and high fat foods), I don't eat much protein. I realize that my lack of a balanced nutritional diet may be making my weight loss more difficult.
To be honest I have no idea I am looking for, perhaps a vitamin, or maybe some kind of shake but I know that I want something that will assist me in losing weight as I work out.
What protein powder would be a good buy for someone trying to lose weight?
I am currently working out and exercising. It's only been a week. I do cardio and weight lifting. I am overweight. What is a good protein weight loss supplement?
What is a good weight loss cereal?
I'm looking for a cereal to eat with my fruit in the mornings to help me lose weight and to keep my full for a couple hours. Something high in fiber and protein but low in fat and sugar. So many weight loss cereals are either really high in sugar if theyre low in fat, or they are just not very tasty and don't fill you up. Any suggestions?
How will taking protein help with weight loss?
hey
So how will taking protein help with weight loss?
Is it better to take protein when trying to lose weight or not to?
I've lost 25 pounds since mid-February but my weight loss has slowed down a lot. How do I stay motivated?
I work out a few times a week and stick to my diet every day. I count calories, try to get enough protein, eat lots of fruits/vegetables, eat only whole grains and have cut almost all sugar out of my diet. I don't drink much diet soda (once in a while as a treat.) I definitely get the right amount of water every day. I drink green tea. My plan is obviously working but I feel like I have hit a plateau. I used to lose more weight per week, which I know related to the fact that I was heavier then. Last week, my weight didn't change. This week, I've lost 1.2 pounds. I know this is normal but I'm having a hard time staying positive when I feel like the scale is barely changing now. How do I stay motivated? Ideally, I would still like to lose about 20 pounds or so to be at my goal weight. Any tips or tricks for working through a weight loss plateau?
Oh, and in case you are wondering, I stick to 1200 calories a day. I'm careful with my measurements - if anything I would say I overestimate my caloric intake.
Also, I don't want to take weight loss supplements, so please don't suggest this to me. Thank you for reading and any help you can offer me!!
work out, weight loss diet?
I want to start working out and lose some weight, my friend recommended to go on a nothing but bean rice and chicken diet mainly but still include vegetables and fruits, he said that beans and rice an chicken is not very fattening so just eating those will help me lose weight, and that those three food are high in protein so it will also help me gain muscle. does any one no if this is true? if its a good way to lose weight? an gain muscle faster from working out?
Will eating protein, such as egg whites, while on the Cabbage Diet interfere with the rapid weight loss.?
I'm starting the Cabbage Diet and I want to work out and run also, but in order not to lose muscle I need to eat protein. I want to know, will including protein, such as egg whites or plain canned tuna fish, interfere with the rate of weight loss on Cabbage Diet?
