Would this diet work for muscle gain and weight loss?

For starters, I don't really know if this makes any sense so I'm asking for someone with some more dietary knowledge to help me out.
Anyways I've been lifting weights but I'm also wanting to cut off some weight. So If I ate a good amount of calories and protein on days I work out but ate much less calories with a little protein on non-workout days would that help me achieve my result?
Thanks for any help

How to improve diet/weight loss?

Hey all. I'm a 18yo male who's recently lost some weight just from cutting back on the sodas, ice cream, snacks, etc. I weighed about 220 and am now down to 170 (though still have a stomach bulge and fatty pecs). However, I've now started P90X here and there..I usually do an exercise every other day, not every day as recommended.

I drink atleast 64 fl. oz of water a day. My diet meal consists of two poptarts and a fiber bar for breakfast (520 cals, 14g fat, 100g carbs (47g sugar), 11g fiber, and 8g protein) and then usually a Subway sub for dinner (~1000 cal, always on wheat bread) and maybe popcorn for a late snack.

Where and how can I improve my diet to promote some slimming and weight loss? I plan on going into the gym for muscle building within the next week or so, but really want to make sure I've got my dieting and such set. Thanks for any help

Is this a good diet for weight loss?

8 am coffee
10 am coffee
8-10am: cottage cheese, oatmeal, nuts/seeds, apple
1 pm soup ,salad,banana
3 pm, protein shake
7 pm chicken, beans, lots of veggies of all different kinds (spinache, green/red/yellow peppers, carrots, etc)
8-10 pm: if anything after that its one piece of chocolate, a cup of coffee or a glass of wine.
supplements throughout the day include kelp and coconut oil daily. B complex and C,biotin.

This is a diet (few weeks now and food varies) my usual fare includes daily fried chicken/drive- thru, icecream, pizza, chinese food and daily bags of chips. That had to stop.

plus 30 minutes exercise maybe 2-5 times a week.

What is a good weight loss diet for a 17 year old boy?

I've seen some places recommend 1540 calories per day and others recommend 3200 since I'm a teen, and i know i should have something like 6 meals per day with a protein, carb, and a fat, but I'm still clueless. What exactly should I be eating and how much, and when? I want this to be fairly permanent. I'm 5'10, 190 lbs, white, and I have access to a Planet Fitness gym just down the street. I'd like to lose as much weight as possible by around April. I'll also be doing some minor weight lifting to build muscle mass. Help me!

How long should it take to notice weight loss after a change in my diet?

Over the last few days I've been eating fewer simple carbs (but more fruits and veggies, just not bread or junk) and more protein. I've also been walking.

How long before I should start losing weight?

Missed periods, thin hair, weight loss, diet change?

Haven't gotten my period in about 2-3 months. I'm a teen and have had my period for 5 years now, so you'd think it'd be normal. I was in Central America for a month and my diet was quite (but not extremely) different - I still got protein from lots of chicken and such. Was in Central America for a month, unintentionally lost 10 pounds (now im about 5 foot 7 and 115ish pounds, give or take on both those measurements). After I got home, I only got 1 period that wasn;t legitimate. it was discharge that clearly had some blood in it, and that was it. lasted maybe an hour, not 5 or 7 days. also, my hair's thin naturally but has recently gotten thinner. oh, and also i've recently started regularly taking perscribed adderall. im petrified of getting poked by a gyno... any ideas? (p.s. i've never had sex, i'm not pregnant)
also - i'm an athlete. i started exercising again at the same time i came home from central america b/c of an ankle sprain (but that's irrelevant).

Concerns about my Weight Loss and Diet?

Hey all,
Im concerned about my weight loss and diet.. Please comment.

Well, Heres my diet:

MEAL 1 (7:00am-9:10am, whenever I wake up)= 1 Scoop Whey and 1 Bannana

MEAL 2 (12:25)= (1 SCoOP WHEY PROTEIN after workout) 1 tin of tuna in water

MEAL 3 (3-4PM) 2 grilled lean chicken breasts OR 20 shrimp (not breaded, just regular, 10 shrimp = 0.5g of fat and no carbs)

MEAL 4 (7-7:30PM) = Tin of tuna or fruit

WORKOUT = 30 MIN TREADMILL DAILY

AND on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, I do compound lifts at a gym.

Well, im afraid since im eating a bannana a day, or sometimes an orange, that it will mess up my low carb diet.

Nonetheless, I started my diet at 88kg, and im 85.7kg now, and its only been 1 week exactly.

-- Im worried about the bannana and fruit intake, because according to a calorie site, it says to avoid them on a diet
--- ALSO, im worried about the rapid weight loss

THANKS IN ADVANCE~!

Is it possible to go on a weight loss diet of only sanitarium up an go's?

I was just thinking about it. It's supposedly meant to have the same amount of nutrition of an actual breakfast. I was wondering, if I were to replace every meal of the day with a sanitarium up and go, what would happen? would there be detrimental side effects to my health? and what kind of Weight loss could I expect?
Here are the stats of an up and go.
Calories 193 ( Kilojoules 800 )

% Daily
Value*
Total Fat 3.8 g 6%
Saturated Fat 0.5 g 3%
Cholesterol - 0%
Sodium 150 mg 6%
Carbohydrate 27.5 g 9%
Sugars 18.5 g
Dietary Fibre 3.8 g 15%
Protein 9 g
Calcium 285 mg
Potassium 525 mg
What do you think will it work or won't it?

P90X and diet Weight Loss Plan? A little Extreme But need feedback?

Background: I am 17 years old,5 feet 9 inches, a male. I weigh 244 pounds. I am basically obese, but at the same time you can consider me as being much more athletic than a different person of my size (I can lift weights, at one point benching 250 pounds (from 130 to 250 in a year before I quit); run fast but not too much stamina, although when i jog/pace i can run 5 miles). My framework, I guess you can say that I'm big and have a lot of girth (width).

Goal: Is to get anywhere between 150 and 170 without compromising muscle, or in other words, shape the muscle that I already may have and ASAP (before summer - 3-4 months)

Diet: My plan for at least 90 days is to follow an interesting article I found (although no scholarly or endorsed if you want to call it, article still seems promising. It says an average person following this diet alone would lose approximately 20 kgs (44 pounds)) which kind of rotates meals and the nutrition a person may take in: For example,
Day 1: Protein Day
Day 2: Starch Day
Day 3: Carbohydrate Day
Day 4: Fruit Day
Day 5: Water Day
Breakfast fruit everyday except Day 5, Lunch and supper are the same and concentrate on what they require for that particular day.
For better details,

OR, I can decide to eat Smart Start Cereal with 2% milk 3-5 times a day (my friend has done the smart start breakfast and ran 6 miles a day, he lost 70 pounds in a month and a half but regained all the weight back in 2 years). My plan is to to switch to a healthy eating lifestyle even when I lose all the weight so I'm not sure if I should starve myself like him.

Exercise plan: I have a program called P90X. It's a very rigorous exercise program which lasts for 90 days and involves differentiation and changes its exercise focus everyday so one doesn't get used to it and keeps on building their body at a fast rate. I'm sure there may be skeptics but there is not a single review (that I found) in which a person tries the program and says its bad (I've tried it myself for a couple of days, and it really is intense)
This is NOT fake, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXkCBYEWm8k
P90X is a very good program and a very very rigorous program as well and I plan on using that for its 90 day program. The guy in the video seems to a on a similar note as me when he started, but I weigh approximately 20 pounds more than him

Also, I plan on running 1-2 mile(s) along with the program anywhere between 7-13 minutes per mile depending on whether I jog or run.

1 pound=3500 calories
My plan is to eat between 1200-1500 calories MAX everyday and when working out everyday, I expect to burn 4000 calories a day (includes calories burned without exercise, like digesting or sleeping). So my calorie deficit should be 2500 calories everyday, so in 90 days or 3 months time I should be around 170-175 pounds.

Here are some of the websites I used:

Feedback is greatly appreciated! This is very important for me! Thanks a lot in advance, and I hope to get some good feedback.
=)
I forgot to add along with the diet.

I plan on drinking a whole lot of water. Approximately 2-3 liters a day

Also, I'm thinking about taking V8 equal to 3 servings of vegetables
And, as a natural cleanser, fresh pineapple and cilantro juice from a blender

Thanks!
