I want to lose weight the healthy way :)?
Im 17 and I am overweight. Not obese, but chubby. No problems whatsoever walking up stairs or say getting out of bed, but I want to be more fit and healthy. I am in no immediate rush and want my weight loss to be maintained. I really don't want to go on a diet, but i want to change my eating habits. I was wondering if i just eliminated fried foods, junk food and soda from my diet starting today, moderate exercise per week, how many kilos would i lose by the end of October. Any further tips would be much appreciated. Thanks

So im 14, 5'6" and about 165 pounds. Im trying to lose alot of weight maybe before school starts and im needing help. I have several workout DVD like Jillian and P90X and they seem good. The main problem is the dieting.
Im having trouble with weight loss. My house is FILLED with junk food. Twinkies, fritos, doritos, soda pop, ice cream, you name it. I have my family that eats alot of it but i just cannot resist. There are other alternatives like grapes, apple, yogurt, water. Not too many veggies. I just need help.
My goal is to get slim, and hopefully score BIG TIME with the girls.
How do I gain weight… and stay healthy?
I've been to the Dr and been checked for everything under the sun, all tested came back normal. But I can't seen to keep weight on.
I took weight gainers for a long time and it didnt help much. I refuse to take them again, the taste is horrible! It makes me rech just to think about drinking anouther one. The only thing that helps is to eat junk food all day long.
If I even look at a salad I lose 10 pounds...
I really want to eat healthy, but my husband is starting to complain about me being to thin.
My other problem is that I have a 4 year old who doesn't have a weight loss problem and I don't want to teach her that its ok to eat Junk food in excess.
What the heck do I do?
Healthy snacks for a teen girl for healthy weight gain?
I'm 5'1", 15, female, and weigh about 87 or 88 pounds. First of all, does anyone think that I would look a little too small? I stopped menstruating last July and my doc believes it because of rapid weight loss (I weighed 93 to 98 pounds at the age of 14--it fluxuated but I didn't really care at the time). Last summer, I tried hard to lose weight and now for health reasons, I've been told to gain. It's hard, though, because I eat a high-cal dessert every night so I don't want to eat junk in the day, you know? I need to gain weight, but I don't want to be unhealthy..I've never been a junk-food "junkie." I love fruits...what are some desserts I could make that are healthy? Any websites with nutritional info? I'm also vegetarian.

Weight Loss Suggestions?
I'm 23 years old and 350 pounds at 6 feet tall. I know that's not good at all which is why I'm here to do something about it. I know working out and eating healthy is how it works, please don't post that just to get a point!
I've been overweight my whole life and haven't ever done well with diets. I played 4 sports a year in high school and was very active but the weight continued to pile on. About a year ago I had back surgery for a pinched nerve so some activities might be off limits for me still.
I understand this won't be fast and am looking for lifestyle suggestions not just diets. I know the basics of course, less junk food more time in the gym, what I'm looking for is specifics.
Information like how many calories should I be taking in each day for healthy weight loss and what kinds of activities should I be supplementing my eating habits with? Suggestions for how to balance meals better and what types of things I should be getting in my diet as well as supplements I can take for even better results (I've heard fish oil tablets are very healthy). I grew up in a junk food family so food health has never been a subject I've been good at.
I have a goal of losing 100 pounds in one year, is that thinking too big? What would be more realistic and what kind of eating/exercise routine should I adopt to achieve it?
Will this work for weight loss/is this healthy?
I've struggled with ED a lot (and still do) so I need help figuring out what's healthy. I want to change.
I plan on eating healthfully -- trying to limit my carbs (bread/pasta carbs) to only whole grains, and if I can help it, no more than 2? 3? a day?
The rest will be vegetables and veggie patties (i'm a vegetarian).
And I will limit myself to one junk food item per day (if I really need it).
I walk 30 minutes a day, is that enough exercise? When I set my heart on exercising, I do so for several hours, so yeah.
I want my body to be toned and muscular. Right now I'm kind of chubby (I've been binging a lot) -- I'm 5'8" and about 135 lbs, maybe a little less.
Will I lose weight this way? And most importantly, is it healthy?
What are some good tips for getting healthier and possible weight loss that doesn't require a lot of work?
I want to try to get healthier and stop eating so much junk food. I try to keep to a plan, but every time my willpower caves and I give up. My mom knows a lot about nutrition but she doesn't always have time to remind me about it. Does anyone have any tips to easily remember how to stay on track?
