what is involved getting weight loss surgery?
My health is getting worse. I have talked to my dr about my weight gain for years and all she says is diet and exercise and as I been seeing her i have crept on another 30 lbs I am fat as ever now and I have tried all diets and now my knees are in pain. She refuses to even entertain the idea of the Weight loss surgery. I am in portland oregon and on I am on the providence personal option. I need a new dr or something. Because I will be 300lbs before long and my dr. will still just say diet and exercise. Hell if it was that easy I'd been done already!! this has been going on three years! I HAVE CUT out all sugar; deep friend foods> she took a thyroid test and it was normal. My family has all been obese I am fight against all odds here and its been very depressing. any serious ideas ? Please don't beat your drum about diet and exercise and furits and veggies I heard it all and tried it all. How do I get to the steps to have the surgery?
Why do so many women adopt the 'lazy' approach to weight loss?
Allot of women i know who are trying to lose weight very rarely exercise and tend to try out slimming tablets and diets. Why do more men exercise to lose weight than women? Are women just lazy? I am a woman and i exercise and just adopt a healthy eating plan for life, rather than for a month so i can get into a new swimsuit? I find these womens' approaches to weight loss and health disgusting.
What's the best motivator–depression or excitement–for successful weight loss?
If you've ever had a successful weight loss attempt, how was your mood at the beginning of it? Did you start a diet/exercise routine out of depression and disgust, or were you pumped up by the thought of your new lifestyle?
Right now I'm down in the dumps about the whole weight loss thing and tomorrow am starting yet another exercise routine out of necessity (health). I've about had it with dieting and trying to eat healthily. I see no light at the end of the tunnel.

This is to all my formally know as big people aka overweight people. Reason i'm coming to you all with this is because i'm tired looking at skinny people advertising how to loose weight when they never been overweight or fat. But these are my questions:

6. If there are any tips or tricks that help motive, inspire, or made you achieve your goal can you please share?
I'm not trying to be mean to skinny people, but there's so much lies, high risk, and scams out there that it makes overweight people lose faith, money, and hope to be healthy. So unless your a doctor or fitness instructor who's trying to health, no skinny people response to this.

how good is diet soda regarding your weight loss?
i have been doing a strict diet. i keep mostly to water these days and no juices or anything with carbs.
recently istarted drinking diet soda which claims to have 0calories, 0 carbs, now i know that there are other chemicals and ingredients that are harmful, health wise.
my question is as far as weight loss only..is diet soda good or worse?is it like drinking regular soda? will i gain weight or loose should i continue drinking that?
