Protein supplements, losing weight and gaining muscle.?
I am trying to lose weight by going to the gym. I do a mixture of cardio and weight lifting.
I currently weight about 290 but my goal is 200. I am watching my calorie intake and going to the gym everyday. I am wondering if taking protein shakes or supplements will help with weight loss.
i have a lot of fat on my chest and stomach and lovehandles.
How to beat the weight loss plateau?
I am a 19 year old female, 5'5", 123 lbs and I go to the gym about 5-7 times a week. I do about 35-40 minutes of low intensity cardio, and about 25-30 minutes of weight training. I eat very healthy, and usually have about 1300-1500 calories a day, but for some reason my weight is staying at 123. Any tips on how to beat the plateau?
What protein powder would be a good buy for someone trying to lose weight?
I am currently working out and exercising. It's only been a week. I do cardio and weight lifting. I am overweight. What is a good protein weight loss supplement?
What sort of protein or supplements can I add to a cardio and strength workout plan to increase weight loss?
I've started a new workout to get in shape for school, Running, mixed with cardio and strength workout dvds. I'm looking into buying some protien powder or something to increase my results. I am not interested in 'fat burning' pills cause those are all a scam. Any suggestions on what I can try?
How many percent of body fat can u lose in a week when on a weight loss program?
generally speaking? if a person is on a healthy reduced calorie diet and exercise programme (cardio 5x a week and weight training 2x a wk)....is a loss of 0.5% of body fat per week reasonable? i'm currently at 28% BF, so i just want an estimate especially on those who have been on weight loss programmes and monitoring their progress with BF%...
Cardio + working out + healthy diet…still early, but no weight loss?
Shocked that I weigh the exact same after 3 weeks of daily workouts...
Been on a new workout regimen, at gym every day doing cardio and weights for little over an hour/day. Guessing I've been burning 500-800 calories every workout. Also, been on low-carb, high protein, lower-calorie diet...trying to lose the spare tire and put on muscle/tone. 5'11 185 lbs... still 185 after 3 weeks. I understand that it takes time to transform your body and lose weight, but I did this same regimen back in 2003 and lost 20 lbs the first month.
After 3 weeks I didn't expect to be down to 170lbs, but I figured maybe 177-180, based on the way I've been eating and working out.
Is it possible that I'm adding muscle and losing fat...and staying at 185lbs?
I know it's only 3 weeks, but odd that I'd weigh the same if I sat at home and watched TV vs working out every day.
What is an effective weight loss supplement that wont interact with meds for low thyroid levels?
I take medicine because my thyroid levels are too low, I am looking for a weight loss supplement or something to help with my last 20 pounds to lose. If anyone has any good info it'd be great. Thanks in advance. And yes I have already gotten it cleared through my doctor as long as it doesn't have stimulants in it.
I do work out for an hour 5 days a week and eat healthy. I mix up the cardio and strength training, and no more than 1200 caolries a day
Please tell me if this is a good workout routine for weight loss.?
I am a female approximately 20 pounds overweight and just joined a gym. We don't have any personal trainers around here (very small town) so I have a routine online. It consists of 30 minutes of cardio then stretching then a strength workout with weights (3 sets of 12-15 repititions). I have no idea how much I should be lifting or how often I should do this for weight loss. Can anyone help? Thanks.
What is happening with my weight loss?
Okay, so I've kind of been through it all in terms of weight. I was anorexic a couple years ago, then spiked up to 185 pounds. Since January, I have lost quite a bit of weight, and I am currently at 143. (I am 5'6 and 17 years old, by the way). I do 60-80 minutes of cardio and 40 minutes of strength training six days a week, and I try not to take in more than 1200 calories a day.
My question is ... is this healthy, or should I be slowing down my weight loss? Do I need to lose more? I also haven't gotten my period for about two months, and I sometimes feel light-headed. Let me know what you think. I'm just a normal girl who feels the pressure of the approaching swimsuit season who wants to look good!
Cardio and resistance training for weight loss?
I'm a 27 year old female. I'd like to lose about 20-25 lbs and I've read that the best excerises for weight loss is a combination of cardio and resistance training. Is this true? I am a beginner, so which exercises would be the safest?
