Started a weight loss diet regime, and I lost 5 lbs in the first week, then 0 lbs the second week.?

Is it because I have been building muscle too? I lift weights 3 or 4 times a week too.
But I'm just trying to lose 30 lbs. How is the best way to do this without any plateaus?
AnY ADVICE? on what works?????? THANKS!!!!

  1. It could be.
    Try to go up and down with your calorie intake,instead of counting per day,count it per week (if you’r counting calories).
    But,try not to weight yourself all the time.Look in the mirror and see if you like the results.
