weight loss, diet, and exercise.?

So i'm a senior in high school and have always been a bit overweight my whole life. this is mainly due to the fact that i am incredibly lazy.So before college i want to develop some good habits and loose some weight for once in my life.

I had a plan to exercise, like lift weights/run, and eat foods with high protein and negative calories. The best example of what it will be is tuna, carrots, and apples. stuff like that. And also take a vitamin in the morning.

is there any pointers that i should consider? anything will be appreciated, even if im going about this all wrong. i would love to hear what i need to do. thank you!

Diet/weight loss/excersize tips to keep a curvy body?

I used to be a very comfortable size four, but over the last couple of years, I've gained a lot of weight, and now I'm an 8/10. I actually prefer my body to be curvier than I was, but I feel my flab has gotten a little out of hand. I'd like to tone up a bit, and I am wondering if anyone has advice on changes to my diet and excersize I can make to keep my curvy body but tone up my belly and eliminate love handles and firm up my thighs a bit. Thanks in advance :)

Vegan Diet & Weight Loss….DO they go together???

I have been considering going vegan.
It should be fairly easy for me because I hate milk(unless it's chocolate) and cheese(unless it's on pizza)and the only meat I eat is chicken and turkey. I want to give up those things and only eat fruits, veggies, and whole grains....and occasionally some of my favorite sweets. I also have recently started working out 5 times a week. I have a goal to lose 15 lbs(to go from 130 to 115)and I am 5'5". Did any of you vegans out there also lose weight when you started the diet? I heard that meat and dairy slows your metabolism and Im just wondering if my metabolism will speed up and if I will lose the weight I want to lose.

College student diet/weight loss?

Hello.. I am a freshman in college and have done my best to keep off the freshman fifteen - and actually succeeded. However, I was overweight when i came to college, and would like to take the opportunity of being away from family and friend pressures of over/unhealthy-eating habits to lose some weight before winter break. >> Gotta look good for reunions and the Christmas season! I'm hoping that with a specific goal in mind, I'll have the motivation needed to get through school and finals, and then keep the motivation and the feeling of accomplishment to keep up the good habits for a healthy lifestyle.

I have about 6-7 weeks and ideally, would like to lose 20-25 pounds in that time. Keep in mind that I am a college student... I have lots of classes, homework, and studying to focus on and love to go out with my new friends...

Basically, I need a diet/exercise regimen to lose the weight in the time I mentioned previously. I have access to a full gym on campus. Diet wise, I'm ok with counting calories... exercise wise, however, I cannot do anything high impact because of previous knee injuries (which is how I put the extra weight on in the first place) - that means no jogging/running. Elliptical is approved for cardio/leg strength training.

Also - would like some tips on staying on track during high-stress times and also some pointers on core strength training (I need to improve my posture and get rid of bellly flab!)

THANK YOU SO MUCH in advance...
Don't try to sell me diet pills. Not going to take them.

A diet weight loss plan for eating 4 or 5 small meals a day?

Hey everyone. I am a 15 year old guy, I weigh 161.5 pounds and I stand at 5''8. I've recently lost 13.5 pounds but I have seem to hit a plateau in the weight loss, meaning I'm barely losing as much as I was at the beginning. I've read a lot of information about the weight loss plan of eating 4 or 5 meals throughout your day to keep your metabolism sped up, which I'm almost positive I need. But I don't know how to set one up to fit my schedule. I wake up at 6:15 every week day and leave my house at 6:45 for school. My lunch period is from 10:30-11:15, and I come home around 2:45. My dinner however can be flexible. So can anyone help me? What should I eat for breakfast or lunch? When and what else should I eat in between? I would so greatly appreciate it if someone could outline for me a plan in detail if possible. Thanks so much!
