Weight Loss Question and Answer Weight Loss Answers

Is this diet (not weight loss attempt, but way of eating) ok for a teenage girl?

I eat about 1-2 fruits a day (usually like a banana and a peach or something. yay peach season!), handful of edamame/steamed baby carrots, and like half a whole wheat bagel with tofutti cream cheese (or a piece of really healthy vegan bread with tofurkey) and a handful of skittles every 1-2 weeks.

Oh and I also drink half a glass of soy or almond milk every morning.

Does that sound ok?

  1. You need too eat a lot more than that. You need some vegetables and more fruits in your diet.

  2. No, not at all. Talk to a nutritionist.

  3. It’s not entirely bad, but you’re missing a few important nutrients.

  4. You need to eat more.

Protein? Iron? Carbs? Maybe include some broccoli, rice or lentils and eggs if you eat eggs. Eat some cereal for breakfast too prehaps?

  5. No not at all! You’re not eating anywhere near enough, ESPECIALLY for a teenage girl. By not eating some of the foods you’re not eating, you’re missing out on some critical nutrients that your body needs. Whether you mean to or not, you’re gonna lose weight, and you’re gonna get less healthy. Please eat more. You can talk to a nutritionist or follow a food pyramid…but health is soo important that I really recommend you put effort in to it.

  6. two medium raw peaches: 80 calories
1/2c raw edmamae (beans only, no seasoning, no pods): 188 calories
1/2 Orowheat Whole Wheat Bagel: 125 calories
2 tbsp Tofutti Better than Cream Cheese: 120 calories
8oz Soy Milk (don’t know what brand or type, so I will give you a general number): 132 calories

    That’s 645 calories.

NO, it is not a safe diet.

You need to start tracking what you are eating so that you can see how little it is. http://www.kraftrecipes.com/healthy-living-ideas/main.aspx

If you are between 14 and 18, you need to be getting 1800-2400 calories a day, depending on activity level.

Vegetarianism is used by too many teenaged girls to mask anorexia.

  7. I agree with everyone here, but would like to add that if you’re vegan, I wouldn’t eat Skittles because I am pretty sure they may have gelatin….

  8. i dont think it is a bad diet, but not good either. your metabolism could suffer greatly, slow down to a ridiculous rate.

  9. No…it’s not enough. BTW, skittles are not vegetarian..they contain gelatin.

  10. Anorexia is not Sexi-a.

You gon lose those child bearin hips babygirl!
