Is this a good weight-loss diet?
My diet rules are:
- 1,200 calories maximum.
- 100 crunches a day.
- Exercise a few times a week.
- Little to no junk food.
- Lots of water.
- No eating after 6pm.
This is what I ate today:
- Iced coffee (1.5 tsp coffee, 2 packets Sweet n Low, 1/2 cup 2% milk) = 72cals.
- Oatmeal (1/2 cup rolled oats, 1 packet Sweet n Low, 1/2 tsp cinnamon) = 155cals.
- 1/2 grapefruit = 50cals.
- 100g fat-free yogurt = 35cals.
- 2 clementines = 70cals.
- 3/4 cup banana nut Cheerios = 120cals.
- 1 green bell pepper with 1 tbsp french dressing = 95cals.
- 2 tbsp peanut butter = 200cals.
- 1 slice of low-fat cheese = 40cals.
- 1 tin of tomato soup = 160cals.
- 1 stick of gum = 5cals.
= 1,002cals.
Is that okay?
I'm currently about 124lbs, how long should it take to reach 105? (I'm 5'3")

Hey, what you ate sounds healthy, but I would recommend increasing the calories.
1200 is the minimum, not the maximum. You shouldn’t go under this number; it’ll just slow your metabolism and make it harder to lose weight in the long run.

Your weight loss also depends on your metabolism, be aware(consume all of your daily essential vitamins and minerals in your diet) also as long as you burn more calories than what you eat your body will be forced to use its fat

The diet isn’t bad…I guess it would help to know when you ate these foods. I agree with the other answers…you should be consuming more than 1200 calories. One great method is to alternate your calorie consumption…eat 1200 on day 1, 1600 on day 2, 1000 on day 3. Make the days where you eat more calories days where you exercise (day 2 should be a bit more intense exercise). Make sure you are getting enough protein also. Lastly, fruits are great but keep fruits and the majority of your carbs early in your day for energy and to give your body a chance to metabolize the glucose.
