Is it bad to eat apples, oranges in grapefruits on a weight loss diet?
I see that a whole grapefruit has like 32 grams of sugar and apples and oranges have high sugar also. However, im eating these fruits as my alternative to chips, sodas, bread noodles ect......am i shooting myself in the foot by eating fruit?

Not necessarily, but if you eat too many fruits instead of vegetables, you will be eating too many sugars. Fructose is actually absorbed into your bloodstream faster than table sugar. You should limit yourself to two servings of fruit a day and sometimes one serving is less than a whole fruit. For example, one serving of banana is a half a banana. Same with apples, oranges, and grapefruit.

Not as long as you are also eating veggies and whole grains and protein. Don’t overindulge on the fruit as the sugar, natural though it is, can add up too.

Not at all. Actually, weight watchers now changed their plan to you can eat all the fruits and veggies you want without taking away from your points..they are good for you, you should never feel bad or guilty for eating fruits and veggies.

Absolutely not. Fruit is excellent for weight loss. The only downside is that fruit is acidic (especially the 3 fruits you mentioned) and can be harmful to the teeth. Rinse your mouth with water after eating fruit.

Fruits give natural sugar and fat. In order to lose fat you have to take it too but in smaller portions. That’s why most fad diet don’t work: they don’t have much fat. You have to eat if you wanna lose weight and not starve yourself. Fruits are great keep eating them and also you should know that grapefruits speed up your metabolism(unfortunately I don’t like them)

No fruit has natural sugar so unlike soda it wont spike your blood sugar like other bad alternatives and their full of fiber and water which help with weight loss too.

No, fruit has good, natural sugar- it’s the added sugar you need to watch out for, like soda, cake, candy, etc. If the only sugar you eat is from fruit you’ll be just fine.

You want to loose weight ?
Drink 8 OZ. of water just before eating each meal. When full back away. with no snacking in between meals other than fruit. And get your lard butt moving doing anything other than the computer OR TV OR reading.
You will loose weight.

Well thats a good question. I did lose weight a while back by walking 3 x a week for 5 miles.
I guess is burned calories more than I was taking in. I mean a lot of weight like 60 pounds.
My doctor tells me walking is the best exercise to lose weight

Congrats on taking the first step into your healthy lifestyle. All the areas you are talking will only trim down with healthy food choices. Machines are meant to focus/target muscle groups to tone the muscle or make it bigger/stronger. But by all means use the machines since it will increase your muscle and in return burn more calories which will help you lose burn fat.
