I work 12 hour night shifts and need a reasonable weight loss diet.?

I don't have a lot of time to fix meals and am also diabetic ( do not need medication presently). any ideas?

  1. I know how you feel, my shifts are 12 or 16 hours.

    I have been losing slowly. I bring low-fat string cheese, ff/sf yogurt and veggies. I try to eat a good meal before my shift begins, then the snacks about every 2 1/2 – 3 hours. About 7-8 hours in, I have a sandwich and fruit. I do not get really hungry doing this. The one problem I did notice is that I need something bigger before i go to sleep. If not I wake up in 4 hours and can not get to sleep until I eat something else.

  4. since u work de late shift smoke crystal meth. u will lose a gang of pounds and probably get a promotion for de hard work u put in cuz u will be wide awake all night.

  5. bring in fruits and vegetables…and you can buy salads just about anywhere. Just tell yourself..no breads, pastas or other carbs. And drink plenty of water….especially when you’re hungry, and before eating food.

  8. 3 short brisk walks in 12 hours will help. It will increase your heart rate and your job performence. Also drink more water and organic juices. Light healthy meals with high fiber content and decreased fat. These will all help you with your weight loss and GOOD LUCK.

  9. I am having the same problem. I too work 12 hour plus night shifts. If you get some good ideas, I might help myself to them too. LOL Screw the guys who say things like crystal meth and such. Eventually those kind of people will be in my hands. I really don’t have an answer but I DID want to wish you good luck.
