so you only want to loose weight ?
if so then what you will need to do:
Nutrition is KEY. its the most important thing. since no matter how much you exercise if you eat enough then you will still gain weight.
3 things worth mentioning:
1) Eat (consume calories) below your TDEE, thus forcing you body to burn fat for energy
2) do cardio (exercise), that will get your heart rate up and tire you out.
do a minimum of 20 + minutes each time.
for a detailed explanation on cardio visit this page:
http://www.scoobysworkshop.com/cardio.htm
3) watch what foods you eat,
now keeping calories low is one thing, but where you get those calories is very important. you need to make every calorie count
so for example:
which is healthier ? getting 1000 calories from cupcakes or from salad and say chicken breast or rice, oatmeal?
well cupcakes are high in sugar, that will give you energy but don’t have much of anything else thus they won’t fill you up and won’t give your body what it needs 1000 calories will come from a couple (2-3 ?) of cupcakes
salad is high in fibers, vitamins and some minerals, the fibers will fill you up, making you less hungry
since veggies are normally low in calories you can eat a lot more of those, compared to high calorie stuff like fast food for the same amount of calories.
and the chicken breast has low fat, and has all the necessary protein your body needs.
other stuff like fruits seeds, etc, have a higher amount of carbs that will give you the energy your body needs to function
now I’m pretty sure you didn’t understand that all ..
essence is don’t eat "fatty" foods, and sugary sweets, instead go for veggies as much as possible, with lean cuts of meat like chicken ( to bad you don’t eat fish)
other good foods include rice, any vegetables you can find, mushrooms, low fat milk, cottage cheese etc.
and fruits! fruits are low in calories, high in vitamins, and offer one of the best carbs, namely Fructose
so include :
- vegetables
- fruits
- lean meats
- mushrooms
- oatmeal
- certain seeds and almonds
and generally foods that have a higher "bang for the buck" , a higher nutritional value.
exclude:
- foods high in fat ( check the labels, anything that has more then 20% of the calories from fat you should stay far away from)
such as fast food, deep fried foods, high fat meats
- sugary sweets / pastry / drinks ( high in sugars, low nutritional value, will offer momentary energy but won’t keep you full for long)
the occasional BLACK chocolate is good for you though
- peanut butter, burgers, fries, pizza, cake, skittles(lol).. etc..
- anything that you don’t know the ingredients of
CALCULATE BMR & TDEE HERE:
http://www.scoobysworkshop.com/caloriecalculator.htm
( it even gives you an example meal)
BMR = basal metabolic rate… the amount of energy(calories) your body consumes just to stay alive
TDEE= total daily energy expenditure… which basically means the amount of energy ( calories) you burn during a day with all your activities
So its BMR + the energy you use in a day = TDEE
