i eat cereal(mini wheats), protein bar and yogurt for breakfast. i eat a clif bar and yogurt for lunch. i eat a protein bat, yogurt and a small bowl of mixed fruit for dinner. in between all meals i occasionally snack on carrots. what is wrong with my diet, and is it normal to be getting extreme diarrhea once a day??? i also run 2 miles a day and do some weights.
BUT I THOUGHT CARROTS AND FRUIT WERE HEALTHY!!!

its probably the yogurt, it has bacteria in it which is also found in your intestines. Probably the extra bacteria is messing with your intestines.

is it normal no
but then neither is you current diet and that is the cause – to much fiber too many carrots as well can be a cause. Too much fruit.
You need to see a doctor NOW

Did you consult any professionals before starting your ‘extreme’ diet?
Because it sounds like your pretty much living off protein bars and yogurt with some fruit chucked in for good measure..
Ok, your problem is that your eating only one type of food, probably only a minimal amount and your not getting any of the important vitamins your body needs because you keep shoving the same stuff down your throat, so your body is just rejecting it, plus running 2 miles a day WILL give you the shits (literally) if your not on some kind of medical tablet which helps stop diarrhea (most runners have to take these to prevent it during training and large amounts of time spent running), its the natural reaction from your body after running for so long.
Your ‘diet’ should look more like this:
Breakfast:
A bowl of high fibre cereal with a low sugar content (natural oats with milk is a great choice)
One (ONLY ONE) glass of natural orange juice with no added sugar (if you are first trying to lose weight you should water down half a glass of orange juice because it has a lot of natural sugars, then while maintaining your weight you can have a full glass)
You should also be having at least some carbohydrates if you plan on running 2 miles every day so you have some energy, so a piece of whole-grain toast with brekkie is a good idea
Lunch:
Wholemeal Grain bread sand which with cut up chicken, (healthy) mayo, spring onion and any other greens you wanna chuck in there. If you mix the chicken mayo and greens together you can store this in your fridge so its ready to use whenever you make lunch.
A piece of fruit such as an apple and some carrot sticks will also help keep you fuller and your body functioning
Dinner:
You should have a tossed salad with whatever veggies/salads you like in there and you should add some plain cooked cut up beef or chicken. Its important that you eat red meat at least a couple of times a week to help with iron and protein, and stock up on the veggies because they keep you full while not adding a lot of calories.
You can also have a piece of meat with steamed veggies, but don’t have too many potatoes while your trying to lose the weight because they are full of carbohydrates, you should only stock up on these if you know youll be doing a lot of exercise the next day.
Snacks:
For the love of god every couple of days you can have a couple of biscuits or pieces of chocolate to keep you happy- it wont make a difference to your weight loss plan and will make your diet more sustainable because your not denying yourself every little thing, your just moderating it.
Now even if you do decide to implement a change of diet you WILL still have the same problem if you continue to do this running every day, there are plenty of anti diarrhea medication at supermarkets and health food places which will effectively help stop the issue.
So, in short, eating pretty much only yogurt and running 2 miles a day is a unrealistic way to try and lose Weight, and is a sure fire way to give you diarrhea.
Ive just suggested some basic changes, you should really see a health care Professional who can Analise your body type and level of fitness so you can get a properly suited diet and exercise regime.
