How do u stay motivated on ur diet when you are disappointed about ur weight loss pace?
I obsess about my weight flucuation during the day which I shouldn't do (but there is a 2 pound flucuation. I need to just lock up the scale). What keeps you motivated?

LOCKING UP THE SCALE!!!! what i learned was looking at the scale depletes your motivation when you’re just starting. remember its the muscle getting stronger not the fat getting increased. Also its true what they say about not exercising alone because then you think too much which is never a good thing, and do’t think about the past failed diets the main thing is you didnt give up and you’re trying again. if its the 45 to and hour long workouts thats killing you then start off low like the 8 minute workouts which have astounding reviews on amazon and/or the 8 minute tae bo which kicks a$$ however my personal favorite is the 30 day shred and the abs diet workout dvd 2.. which has HIIT workouts… QUICKER WEIGHT LOSS… don’t foget to eat healthy… i’m a junk food junkie so what i did was start eating the baked lays cheetos and my gma a true italian makes pizza the healthier way with homemade sauces and the good cheese. it also helps if you can cook. and as far as veggies which i hate i make chili and chop up rommaine lettuce (the best which vitamins) broccoli, sprouts, tomates, onions and peppers so i won’t taste it when i eat it and that works out great. fruits i have no issue eating that. plus i have a picture of Ali Vincent and jillian micahels (my all time fav personal trainer) and looking at their bodies keep me focused. either way i’m extremely motivated to lose weight…

What keeps me motivated is volleyball, I want to do better this year and tryouts are in August so I’m doing my best to keep myself in shape by pushing myself.
I am also doing it so I can look better in shorts this year.

oh and yeah I never weight myself, thank god we don’t own a scale. I want it all to be a big surprise when I have my doctor’s appointment.

Looking good is what keeps me motivated. I feel like breaking down and giving into temptation every day at least 6 times, but I just talk myself out of it, and I thank myself later. Just remember, ANY weight loss is better than weight gain. If that means 0.5 pounds a week then that is the pace your body is setting for you, just go with the flow.

first of all, throw out your scale
think about those girls who look fantastic in bikinis and everyone who’s rooting for you to be healthier. If you’re severely overweight, think about LIFE.

Always tell yourself that there is no success without failure especiplly if you have already achieved some sort of success before as you know for sure that you can repeat this success again and again

I stay motivated because I want to look good naked. Not trying to be rude.
But each week, I take pictures in my swim trunks. Those pictures tell me I’m doing good. Sometimes they tell me when I’ve been slacking, so I get back on track. The scale is great and all, but pictures don’t lie. Neither do measurements of my waist. If my waist goes down half an inch, and my scale stays the same or goes higher….Who cares what the scale says? My waist just shrunk down half an inch.
