First you have to get motivated, then change your eating habits (switch to healthy foods) and exercise 4-5 days a week for an hour. Within 2/3 months you will see a BIG difference in you body and you’ll feel better too. Good Luck!!!

Stay focused on being healthy, not on becoming thin
Many people become more successful at long term weight loss when their motivation changes from wanting to be thinner to wanting to be healthier. Change your mindset to think about selecting foods that will help your body’s health rather than worrying about foods that will affect your body’s weight. The Food Pyramid offers a basic outline of the types and amounts of food you should eat each day to give your body the nutrients it needs for optimal health.

Weight loss support: join a weight management group
A big key in long term weight control comes from receiving encouragement and support from others. You can check to see if groups such as Jenny Craig offer programs and resources in your areas. You may also wish to check with your local hospital to see if their registered dietitian conducts group weight loss programs.

Well i am insecure myself and used the southbeach diet. This one was extremely tough! God. That was hell. But if you follow it strictly you’re gonna lose 12 pounds already in the first 2 weeks, assuming normal recommendations. and 2 pounds a week after that. I have lost about 32 pounds now but that’s in 6 months. i’ve cheated a lot too. but i’m still hanging on.
You don’t have to use this ofcourse, i just recommended it because i’m using it. Anyway here’s 3 of my criteria’s to chosing a good diet:
1. Follow strictly- if to the letter better, just follow it mindlessly. Don’t cheat as much as posible. This is a traitor psychologically
2. From a nutritionist- self made diets are just crap and you have to constantly think
3. Has a suggested meal plan and full recommendations – so all you have to do is follow follow follow.
4. The trick is really to just chose one already even randomly! just like i did and stick to it. just keep going no matter what. Do the job right. you’ll get there eventually. the faster you start it the faster you’ll get the job done.
Don’t ever develop an eating disorder. Just follow a standard- slowly but surely.
