Fast weight gain on a weight loss diet, why?
Last week I lost 6.2 lbs. This week without much change in food consumed (I do keep a Weight Watchers journal) I gained back all the weight @ 1-2 lbs per day. So far I've lost 72 lbs but have come to a complete stop. I now ,because of the season have an increase in the amount of fresh fruit and vegetables that I'm eating but do not exceed my W/W points. I consume about 3-12 oz. cans of diet soda per day. I walk about 2.5 miles per day and use light weights to keep limber not to build muscle. This is so frustrating, I don't want the weight back. Whats up? Any ideas?

If you’re not exceeding your weight watchers points and you’re walking and doing some exercise, you’re probably not gaining fat. In fact, you mentioned that you’ve increased your fresh fruit and vegetable intake. It sounds like simple water weight to me. That usually means that you’re not taking in enough water. If you can, limit yourself to only 1 can of diet soda. I know, it’s hard, but if you can, that will help you drink more water instead-lots of it. The more water you drink, the less water your body will retain (edema). You should find within a few days that your weight will be back to normal.
