Did I ruin my whole weight loss diet with this food..? I feel like crying please help and be honest?
Okay. So I'm 15, 5'3 and I started dieting when I am 120 lbs. I've been on a very good, healthy diet for about a week now, I probably have lost about 2 pounds. So I'm probably around 118 now?
Anyways. So I've been doing SO good. Today I went to my friends birthday party, not to mention it is the first day of my period (MASS CRAVINGS). She had SO MUCH GOOD FOOD! lol. She had stuff like chips and dip, burgers, fries, fruit salad, cake, cookies, brownies, etc.. ! Urgh!
As you know, I am on the first day of my period and my cramps were kinda bad. This also drove me to have really terrible cravings, to the point where I was obsessed with satisfying my cravings! I wanted it then and there. So, I gave in at the birthday party. I had about everything there. I'm planning to bounce back to my regular diet tommorrow, maybe start off kinda easy to get back into the groove. I was literally grazing on everything there. xD Will this make me gain a pound, even if I go back to my usual diet?
By the way, I am going to seriously be good about everything once I bounce back into the groove again. I just want to lose 10 lbs to get to 110 lbs. =/
Will this throw me off track?
Come on, you know how it is.. xD Your period can drive you nuts with cravings, especially with your favorite foods laid out in front of you! At parties, everyone eats and has a good time.. Which is what I did. ;_;
I CANT STOP EATING TODAY. IS THIS FROM MY PERIOD? UGHH!

okay so your 15, 5′3 at 120.
im 17, 5′1 about 120 and i have a near perfect body. so i dont see why you want to lose so much weight. i mean i would love to be 110 but it is hard and i cant ever see myself sticking to a diet. but anyway you may gain a pound, most likely not, however when you are on your period you get bloated so if you do gain a pound dont worry. once you get back into your diet you will be fine also remember to stay active, and if you were active at the part being that your 15 you probably were, you will be just fine.!!
goodluck
and dont get too skinny!

Don’t stress about it. It was one day of binging.
And what is your weight loss goal? The healthy weight for you at your age and height is 115. Losing two pounds a week until you plateau is about right, but be wary of the scale, a normal person’s weight changes throughout the day depending on food and water weight, so expect to see fluctuation.
Way to be healthy, but you are already thin, so don’t get obsessed with it. You are allowed to have junk food, just do it spareingly. (Like only at parties!)

to tell you the truth you shouldnt have to worrk about dieting when your only 120 pounds, thats not heavy at all, but if your wondering about the food cravings, your period could deffinately be a cause of it. whenever i get my period i get cravings for everything even food i dont normally like. so yes, your period is most likely the cause of your food cravings and you might have gained a pound but once you digest that pound will go away like you’ve never gained it

Yes, the hormonal drop before your period can cause food cravings.
You might go up a pound for a day or two, but it’ll drop right back down again on your diet. Aim for 1200 cals a day from healthy foods.

I am the same weight and height as you. I don’t think you need to lose any weight.

definitely your period is a big factor. I can totally relate.
Anyway, just don’t tell yourself, well I messed up I might as well binge on everything. Just start fresh.
Anyway, for you not that overweight anyway I would say you don’t go to that many birthdays so when you do enjoy it and dont be on such a strict diet. If you know you are going to be going to a party like this, hop on an ellipitcal for an hour (800 calories) or do an extra work out the day before, early morning or day after.
Also, dont use the word diet. It is a lifestyle change. Diets don’t work.
It is no big deal. You will be fine.
