A weight loss diet without fruit?

I have a very rare phobia. Well, I dont know if that is what you would call it really. Ever since I can remember, I have been revolted by fruit. I couldnt even touch it without having to scrub out my hands.It's not my environment, because my parents love the stuff.I have actually met 2/3 other people like me in my life.My mom tried everything.She even took me to a therapist, but nothing works because I am so disgusted by fruit that I dont really want to ever try them- they smell and look revolting to me. I can't even have any artificial flavouring like rasberry flavoured candy.- Even if I try to, I gag on them. Also, I ALWAYS know when something has fruit in the ingredients, however subtle.
That being said, I LOVE my veggies- except for the fleshy ones that remble fruit like squash and pumpkin. I do eat tomatoes (yeah, I know it's tecnically a fruit)So now when I try to find a diet, it's very hard because they all require fruit.Can anyone suggest anything that doesn't involve fruit

  1. I know on the Atkins diet…you cannot eat fruit or nuts for the first two weeks of what they call "induction." It may be ok not to eat any on the rest of the diet since you already don’t eat it. Take a look at the program on their website. Hope that helps.

  2. try replacing the fruit with veggies since you like them better than fruits

  3. well, I suggest getting mental help. but you could make sure you take a multivitim and an extra vitamin C supplement. and eat extra veggies in place of fruit. also, eat things like orange bell peppers b/c they have vitamin C in them.
